EDDIE CH Catawba’s Limited Edition (9/87 - 12/00)

Eddie was our first champion and the patriarch of the Tobotuk line. He was an aristocratic gentleman, an elegant show dog, beloved pet, and a superb wheel dog on the sled team. His pervasive spirit continues at Tobotuk and in his offspring around the world.

CAPER CH Tobotuk’s Caped Crusader (8/6/90 to 7/9/99)

Caper was our first home bred champion. He was a perennial puppy, loving pet, CO-leader on our team, and a consummate showman. He went to the Rainbow Bridge much too early, and will be profoundly missed.

SAM Way-Mar’s Sam My Man

Sam was Black and White with Brown eyes, and had a striking Black undercoat. He was a pointed show dog, outstanding team leader (they're hard to find), and an incredibly wonderful pet. He went to the Rainbow Bridge at age 5 - he was a very special dog, and his spirit will always be with us at Tobotuk

ROSIE Tobotuk’s Cracklin Rose (Grandma Roses)

Rosie went to the Rainbow Bridge at age 8. She was show quality and did well as a show puppy until she broke a front leg and it bowed out slightly as it healed. She was a successful brood bitch and outstanding point dog on our team. This picture is one of our favorites.

Female, light Red and bi-eyed. Finished Championship in April 1999. Ran lead on our 8 dog team. Made the cut in the American Bred class at the Mpls. Specialty ‘97. Delightful companion and wonderful mother. She lives on in memories and through her offspring around the world.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together ....
